Types of Roles and Permissions in Growee

  • Admin: Full access to all features and settings.
  • Manager: Access to team management and performance evaluation.
  • HR: Access to employee records and HR-related functions.
  • Employee: Access to personal information and performance feedback.

Understanding and managing roles and permissions is essential for maintaining security and compliance within the application.


Admin

An admin role has the most permissions across the app. As an admin you can:

  • manage contracts, payroll, billings and invoices
  • add new members
  • create holidays, positions, levels, evaluations
  • manage contracts, payroll, billings and invoices
  • approving all types of requests

Additionally, the Admin has full access to Configurations where changes related to holidays, templates, documents, etc., can be made. When adding a new member's role, there will be displayed a list of available permissions.


Manager

This role involves managing departments, documents, positions, employees, their holidays, evaluations, etc. Unlike the Admin, Managers have limitations, particularly in regards to the financial aspects of the organization.



HR

HR role is responsible for a wide range of tasks related to employee management and policy implementation. An HR role has permissions to manage holidays, holiday approvals, documents, timesheets and also HR can see other employee personal information.

Compared to Admin/Manager role, an HR cannot manage users, evaluations, roles and permissions, projects, clients, create reports.

Employee

Employees can only access their own data and see limited information about other employees. Employees cannot edit or see details about other people such as salary information, historical data, evaluations, documents unless their role is HR and above
